Joseph Bouchard is a freelance journalist covering geopolitics and conflict in the Western Hemisphere, with experience in Colombia, Brazil and Bolivia. His articles have appeared in The Diplomat, Mongabay, Global Americans, The National Interest, Responsible Statecraft, and RealClearWorld. He is a Master's candidate in International Affairs at Carleton University in Ottawa, and a fellow with the Center on Conflict and Development at Texas A&M University.
