Zoya Hasan

Bio

Zoya Hasan is a political scientist, writer and commentator. She is Professor Emerita at the Centre for Political Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University and a Distinguished Professor at the Council for Social Development, New Delhi. She was Professor at the Centre for Political Studies and Dean of the School of Social Sciences, JNU. She is the author of several books, including the Congress after Indira: Policy, Power and Political Change (1984–2009); Politics of Inclusion: Caste, Minority and Affirmative Action; Agitation to Legislation: Negotiating Equity and Justice in India; Ideology and Organization in Indian Politics: Growing Polarisation and the Growing Crisis of the Congress Party (2009–2019). She is a regular commentator on contemporary issues in the media.
