Toshiro Nishizawa is Professor at the Graduate School of Public Policy, University of Tokyo. Formerly director general of the Country Credit Department at Japan Bank for International Cooperation, Nishizawa has played pivotal roles in policy dialogue and research in emerging Asian economies, focusing on public-private partnerships and sovereign debt. Recognised with the 'Foreign Minister’s Commendations for FY2022' Nishizawa holds degrees in Latin American Studies and Economics from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies and the University of Tokyo and an MSc in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
