Tianlei Huang is Research Fellow and China program coordinator at the Peterson Institute for International Economics (PIIE). His research focuses on the Chinese economy. His current research projects investigate the political economy of China’s housing policy, connections between the property sector and government finances, and the evolving role of the private sector. In his role as PIIE’s China program coordinator, he organises a bimonthly seminar series on US-China economic relations jointly hosted by PIIE and China Finance 40 Forum. Huang earned his master’s degrees from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and Tsinghua University, and his undergraduate degree from Fudan University.
