Bio

Stephen Levine is Professor of Political Science at Victoria University of Wellington. He has written extensively about New Zealand’s politics, elections and international relations and is founder of the university’s parliamentary internship programme. He has been an editor and contributor to books about each of New Zealand’s elections under its ‘mixed member proportional’ electoral system, and is co-editor of the ‘Government and Nation’ segment of ‘Te Ara’, the online Encyclopedia of New Zealand established by New Zealand’s Ministry for Culture and Heritage.
