Bio

Parul Bakshi is Research Fellow at FSR Global, New Delhi, India, established by the Florence School of Regulation (FSR), European University Institute. She is also a Guest Lecturer at the Department for East Asian Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Delhi. She holds a PhD from the School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, India and was a Special Research Student at the Graduate School of Public Policy of The University of Tokyo as a Japan Foundation Fellow 2021-22. She is the co-editor of the books 'Geographies of Exchange Between India and Japan' (2024) and 'India–Japan Relations @70: Building Beyond the Bilateral' (2022). Parul has also widely published in academic journals such as the Australian Journal of International Affairs, The Pacific Review, Environment: Science and Policy for Sustainable Development, and the Indian Foreign Affairs Journal, among others.

The East Asia Forum office is based in Australia and EAF acknowledges the First Peoples of this land — in Canberra the Ngunnawal and Ngambri people — and recognises their continuous connection to culture, community and Country.
