Muhamad Arif is HDR Candidate at the School of Government and International Relations, Griffith University. He is working on a research project examining Indonesian maritime strategy in the South China Sea. He holds the 2024 Blue Security Fellowship at La Trobe Asia, La Trobe University. His research interests lie at the intersection of domestic politics, foreign policy, maritime security and strategic culture.
