Dr Junyi Cai is a sessional lecturer at the University of Sydney. Her research considers how the dynamic between the party-state, women and the society in China is shaped, consolidated, re-constituted and reproduced through assorted hegemonic discursive practices. Junyi’s research interests include feminism and the state, gender politics, and gender discourse in China. She is currently working on turning her PhD thesis into a book on conceptualising state feminism in China.
