Bio

Hannah is Assistant Professor and Director of the Korea and East Asia program in the Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS) at Sogang University.

Previously, she was an assistant professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Nebraska, Omaha, and a postdoctoral fellow at the Walter H Shorenstein Asia Pacific Research Center at Stanford University. She received her PhD in political science at the University of California, Irvine.

Her research focuses on public opinion, gender, and democracy in East Asia. She also researches social issues in South Korea and growing anti-Asian violence in the United States. Her research has been published in the Journal of Politics, PS: Political Science & Politics, and Pacific Affairs.

The East Asia Forum office is based in Australia and EAF acknowledges the First Peoples of this land — in Canberra the Ngunnawal and Ngambri people — and recognises their continuous connection to culture, community and Country.
