Dr Dennis Lu-Chung Weng, an Associate Professor of Political Science at Sam Houston State University, also serves as the Director of the Asia Pacific Peace Research Institute (APPRI). He earned his PhD from the University of Texas at Dallas. With a rich teaching background, including stints at Wesleyan University and SUNY-Cortland, he now holds fellowships at Stellenbosch University and National Chengchi University. His expertise lies in the interplay of domestic politics and foreign policy across the United States, Taiwan, and the Asia-Pacific, making him a recognised voice on US–China–Taiwan relations and regional political affairs.
