Chris Legg

Bio

Chris Legg is Chair of the G20’s Global Infrastructure Hub and has recently been appointed to chair the negotiations for the 13th replenishment of the ADB’s Asian Development Fund. He is a former senior Australian Treasury officer, Deputy Director General of the Australian Office of National Assessments and consultant to the IMF’s Independent Evaluation Office.
He was Australia’s Chief Negotiator for the creation of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), and subsequently Australia’s first AIIB Director, chairing the Board’s Policy and Strategy Committee and becoming the Board’s inaugural Dean. He has also served on the boards of the World Bank and the IMF. His book, 'Global Cooperation in a Time of Transition: The IMF, G20 and the Global Financial Crisis', was published by the Woodrow Wilson Centre for Public Scholars in late 2014.
