Bio

Alistair D B Cook is Coordinator of the Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief Programme and Senior Fellow at the RSIS Centre for Non-Traditional Security Studies, S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He was a visiting scholar at the East-West Center and Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies, Honolulu, Hawai’i in May 2022. He was President of the International Studies Association – Asia-Pacific Region from 2018 until 2021. His research interests focus geographically on the Asia-Pacific and Myanmar in particular and thematically on humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR), foreign policy and regional cooperation.
