Albert J Rapha is currently a Research Assistant at German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA) and Postgraduate Student at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU Leuven). His interests mostly include digital policy, tech governance and political economy, with a regional focus in Asia-Pacific and country specialisation in Indonesia.

His works have appeared in various international outlets, such as East Asia Forum, Fulcrum, The Jakarta Post, The Diplomat and Policy Forum. He was a student activist in Southeast Asia and Indonesia from 2018-2021, including serving as the President of the Student Executive Body (BEM) for the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Universitas Diponegoro in 2020.
