Dr Yu Tao is Associate Professor and the coordinator for the Chinese Studies course at the University of Western Australia (UWA). With an academic background in political science and sociology from Peking, Cambridge and Oxford Universities, he currently seeks to unravel how China's governmental and governance structures are evolving within the global context and explore the various facets, drivers and perceptions of globalised Chineseness in areas such as religion, education, migration and heritage.
