Aaron Magunna

Aaron Magunna is a PhD student at the University of Queensland in Australia. His research focuses primarily on how India and Japan respond to China–US competition by adapting their security, trade and technology policies. Aaron holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands and worked in the think tank sector before re-entering academia. His research has been published in outlets such as the Australian Journal of International Affairs and the Lowy Institute’s Interpreter.

The East Asia Forum office is based in Australia and EAF acknowledges the First Peoples of this land — in Canberra the Ngunnawal and Ngambri people — and recognises their continuous connection to culture, community and Country.
